How to Gently Remind My Daughter-in-Law of Her Responsibilities as a Mother?
Hello everyone,
I hope you’re all doing well. I’m reaching out today because I’m in a bit of a dilemma and could really use some advice. My daughter-in-law, Alexa, has recently become a mother to a beautiful baby boy. However, I’ve noticed that she often spends a lot of time on her phone and tablet, sometimes at the expense of her responsibilities as a mother.
For instance, there have been several occasions where she has put down her phone only to immediately pick up her tablet, seemingly more engrossed in her devices than in her baby. I understand that everyone needs some downtime and that technology can be a great way to relax, but I’m concerned that this behavior might be affecting her ability to bond with and care for her child.
I want to approach this topic delicately because I don’t want to come across as judgmental or overbearing. I genuinely care about Alexa and want to support her in any way I can. How can I gently remind her that she is now a mother and that her baby needs her attention and care? Any advice on how to have this conversation without causing tension would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Nora
