Help! My Son-in-Law Keeps Losing Jobs Over His “Principles”
Hey everyone,
I really need some advice and maybe a bit of a reality check. My daughter Ella is married to a guy named Kyle, and while I love them both dearly, I’m at my wit’s end. Kyle has this habit of losing jobs because he’s always standing up for what he believes is “right” or “just.” It’s not like he’s getting fired for being lazy or incompetent; it’s more like he’s constantly clashing with his bosses and colleagues over principles and fairness.
The latest incident was just last week. Kyle got into a heated argument with his manager over some company policy he thought was unfair. Long story short, he lost his job. Again. This isn’t the first time this has happened, and I’m worried it won’t be the last.
Ella, bless her heart, always defends him. She says that Kyle just has a strong sense of justice and that it’s part of his character. I get that, but at what point does this become a serious problem? They’re struggling financially because of his job instability, and I’m worried about their future.
I don’t want to meddle too much, but I also can’t just sit back and watch them go through this cycle over and over. Should I talk to Ella about it? Or maybe even Kyle? How do I approach this without causing a huge family rift? Any advice or similar experiences would be super helpful right now.
Thanks in advance!
