Seeking Advice: Family Pressure and Financial Decisions

Hey everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m in a bit of a bind and could really use some advice from this amazing community. Here’s what happened:

I was at a family gathering with my in-laws when my mother-in-law, Vivian, suddenly said, “So, is the deal on? Take the loan.” I was taken aback because I hadn’t agreed to anything like that. When I tried to explain my hesitation, everyone, including my husband Eugene, just ignored me. It felt like they were all ganging up on me to take this loan that I wasn’t comfortable with.

Feeling overwhelmed and unsupported, I decided to pack my things and go back to my mom’s place. Now I’m here, feeling confused and unsure about what to do next. Should I stand my ground and refuse the loan, or should I try to find a compromise? How do I handle the situation with my husband and in-laws?

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Best,

Riley
