Help! My Daughter-in-Law Banned Pork Chops and It’s Ruining Family Dinners
Hey everyone,
I really need some advice on a family issue that’s been driving me nuts. So, here’s the deal: my daughter-in-law, Valentina, has put a strict ban on pork chops for my grandson, Kuba. She says they’re too fatty and unhealthy. Now, I get that she’s trying to look out for his health, but it’s causing a lot of tension during our family dinners.
You see, pork chops have always been a staple in our family meals. They’re like comfort food for us, and Kuba absolutely loves them. But now, every time we have a family gathering, Valentina gets super strict about it and it just kills the mood. It’s like we can’t enjoy our meals anymore because there’s this constant worry about what we’re eating.
I’ve tried talking to her about it, but she won’t budge. She insists that “healthy” food is the only way to go, but honestly, it’s making everyone miserable. Even Brian and Bruce, who usually stay out of these things, have noticed the change in atmosphere.
So, what do you guys think? Should I keep pushing back and try to find a compromise, or just let it go and respect her wishes? I don’t want to cause more drama, but I also don’t want our family dinners to be a source of stress.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Eugene
