It was a typical Tuesday evening when my eldest son, Michael, walked through the front door. He had just returned from college for the weekend, and I was excited to catch up with him. Little did I know that the conversation we were about to have would leave me sleepless and anxious.

Michael has always been a thoughtful and introspective young man. He’s the kind of person who thinks deeply about life and its many complexities. As he sat down at the kitchen table, I could sense that something was weighing heavily on his mind. His usual cheerful demeanor was replaced by a somber expression.
