Help! My Kids Want to Come Home Early from Grandma’s
Hey everyone,
I could really use some advice right now. So, here’s the deal: we dropped off our kids, Dylan and Violet, at my mom’s place for a few days. We thought it would be a nice little break for us and a fun time for them with Grandma. Everything seemed fine until last night when Dylan called me, sounding really upset. He asked if we could come pick them up as soon as possible.
Now, I’m torn. On one hand, I want to respect their feelings and go get them. But on the other hand, I don’t want to disrupt my mom’s plans or make it seem like we don’t trust her to take care of them. Plus, I was really looking forward to this short break!
I talked to my mom, Penelope, and she said everything seemed fine on her end. She thinks Dylan might just be feeling a bit homesick and that he’ll probably settle down soon. But I can’t shake the feeling that something might be wrong.
Bryan thinks we should wait it out a bit and see if Dylan calms down, but Eliana is all for picking them up right away. I’m stuck in the middle and don’t know what to do.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you handle it? Should I go get them or wait it out? Any tips on how to make them feel more comfortable if we decide to leave them there?
Thanks in advance for your help!
