Finding Motivation Through Faith: A Personal Journey

Hey there! I wanted to share a personal story about a tough time I went through and how I managed to find my way out with a little help from above.

So, my husband, Vincent, and I were having this conversation one evening. He said, “Nie mam motywacji, by zarabiać więcej. Gdybyśmy mieli dziecko, byłoby zupełnie inaczej.” Translation: “I don’t have the motivation to earn more. If we had a child, it would be completely different.” That hit me hard. What if we never have a child? What then? How would we cope?

I felt a mix of fear and frustration. I mean, we were already struggling to make ends meet, and the thought of not being able to motivate Vincent to push harder was daunting. I didn’t know what to do or where to turn.

One night, feeling utterly lost, I decided to pray. I hadn’t prayed in a long time, but something inside me just urged me to do it. I poured my heart out to God, asking for guidance and strength. I asked Him to help Vincent find his motivation and for us to find peace in our situation, whatever the outcome might be.

The next morning, I felt a strange sense of calm. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I started to see things differently. Instead of focusing on what we didn’t have, I began to appreciate what we did have. I shared my feelings with Vincent and suggested we pray together every night.

At first, he was hesitant, but he agreed to give it a try. We started praying together, asking for guidance and strength. Slowly but surely, things began to change. Vincent found a renewed sense of purpose. He started taking on extra projects at work and even looked into furthering his education.

Our financial situation improved bit by bit, but more importantly, our relationship grew stronger. We learned to support each other and find joy in the little things. We still don’t have a child, but we’ve come to terms with that possibility. We’ve realized that our happiness doesn’t solely depend on having children; it’s about being grateful for what we have and trusting that God has a plan for us.

Looking back, I can see how prayer and faith played a crucial role in helping us navigate that difficult period. It wasn’t an instant fix, but it gave us the strength and perspective we needed to move forward.

So, if you ever find yourself in a tough spot, don’t hesitate to reach out to God. Sometimes, all it takes is a little faith and a lot of prayer to find your way through.
