Help! My Daughter-in-Law Isn’t Raising My Grandkids Right
Hey everyone,
I really need some advice and thought this would be the best place to get some honest opinions. So, here’s the deal: I have two beautiful granddaughters, Ruby and Savannah. They are the light of my life, but I’m really worried about how my daughter-in-law, Serenity, is raising them.
Serenity is a good person, but I feel like she’s making some questionable parenting choices. For example, she lets them stay up way too late, and their diet is mostly junk food. I’ve tried to give her some friendly advice, but she just doesn’t seem to listen. It’s like she thinks I’m trying to take over or something, which is not the case at all. I just want what’s best for Ruby and Savannah.
My son, Ethan, is usually at work and doesn’t see the day-to-day stuff, so he doesn’t really get involved. I don’t want to cause any family drama, but I also can’t just sit back and watch my grandkids be raised in a way that I think is harmful.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you handle it? Should I just back off and let Serenity do her thing, or is there a way to approach this without causing a huge fight? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Aaron
